Privacy policy
How we handle the details you give us when you message, call or visit this site. In plain words, and short.
Who we are
Classic Jewels & Diamonds, registration number 1921575, is the jewellery division of the Classic Group of Companies. Our registered office is Shop No. 6, Multistorey Car Park Building (Mariyam Plaza), Gold Souq Extension, behind RAK Bank, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We decide how the information described on this page is used, and we answer for it. Questions go to hello@classicgroup.ae.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us and what any web server records.
- The visit and enquiry forms. Whatever you type or choose in them: usually your name, a phone or WhatsApp number or email address, the branch, the day and time of day you plan to visit, the reason for your visit, a description of a piece and, if you give one, the reference of a piece. When you choose “Send on WhatsApp”, the form only prepares a message in WhatsApp on your device; nothing reaches us until you press send there.
- WhatsApp. When you message our WhatsApp number we see your WhatsApp name and number and what you send. The conversation sits on our phone and on WhatsApp’s own servers, under Meta’s terms, not ours.
- Calls. Your number if you call the counter and it is shown to us.
- Analytics, only if switched on. The site can load Google Tag Manager, which may run analytics or advertising tags. It loads only when the owner enables it. By default it is off, nothing is measured and no analytics cookie is set.
- Server logs. Our web host records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each request, as every web server does, for security and fault-finding.
- The gold rate. Pages load the day’s rate from our own server. Your browser may keep that figure for a short while in its session storage so the page does not ask again; it holds nothing about you.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, send a quote or reserve a piece.
- To arrange a visit to a branch or a custom order.
- To keep the sales and invoice records UAE law requires us to keep.
- To keep the site secure and find faults.
- If analytics is enabled, to see which pages are used so we can improve them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries by form, email or WhatsApp are kept for as long as it takes to answer them, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back about the same piece. Invoices and sales records are kept for the period UAE tax and commercial law require. Server logs are kept by the host on a rolling basis and then discarded.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that run the site and our messaging: the web host, our email provider, WhatsApp (Meta) and, if analytics is enabled, Google. We also disclose it where a UAE authority lawfully requires it.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. There is no login, no basket and no tracking pixel of our own. The one exception is Google Tag Manager, which is off by default: if the owner switches it on, the tags inside it may set cookies for analytics or advertising, and this section will be updated to say which.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@classicgroup.ae or message the shop on WhatsApp. We will need to confirm who you are before acting, and we may have to keep invoice records that the law requires us to hold.
Links to other sites
The site links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads and the Classic Group’s own site. Each has its own privacy policy, which applies once you are there.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. The version on this page is the one that applies. See also our terms of use and disclaimer.
